These terms apply to the Slakee app alongside Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement, which governs every app on the App Store. By using Slakee you agree to both.
Tuning is at your own risk
Slakee shows tunings and where their notes fall. It does not know your instrument, its neck, its setup or its strings, and it does not tell you whether a tuning is safe for them. Tuning any string above the pitch your instrument is set up for adds tension, and too much tension can break strings or damage the instrument.
Many tunings, especially those far from standard, need strings of different gauges (weights) to play and hold safely. Slakee does not recommend gauges or string sets for your instrument; choosing strings that suit a tuning is your responsibility. You decide what to play, which strings to use and how to tune — if you have any doubt, ask a qualified luthier first.
Not professional advice
Nothing in the app is lutherie, repair or engineering advice. Descriptions of tunings, string load or playing range are general guides, not an assessment of any particular instrument.
Provided as is
Slakee is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, to the fullest extent the law allows. We do not promise that the app will be error-free or that any tuning will suit you or your instrument.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, the developer of Slakee is not liable for damage to instruments, strings or other property, or for any indirect or consequential loss, arising from your use of the app. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not all apply to you, and nothing here affects your legal rights as a consumer.
Purchases
Tips and skins are sold through Apple's App Store under Apple's terms, including its refund policy. A tip is a voluntary payment and unlocks nothing. Skins change only how the app looks; every tuning, filter and tool works without paying.
Your data
Your ratings, tags and notes are yours. How the app handles them is described in the Privacy Policy.
Changes
We may update these terms. The current version will always be at this address, with its date.
